The beloved Border Collie originated in the border country between Scotland and England, descending from the original sheepdogs found throughout the British Isles.  The term “collie” in Gaelic means “useful”, which certainly applies to the breed.  Both historically and today, these dogs remain invaluable to shepherds and farmers across the globe.  Not only are Border Collies affectionate companions and hardworking, but they are also regarded as the most intelligent of dog breeds.  This intellect combined with tenacity and devotion sets Border Collies apart from other breeds of dogs.  We absolutely love our collies and find so much joy in having them as part of our family and farm.
